Description:

This is a tiny yellow ant 2 mm (1/10-1/20 in) in length. Has tiny eyes compared to size of head (when compared with many other ants) and a back with a notch obvious in profile.

Habitat:

Can nest in ground, but some will nest in well-rotted wood. This one was in well-rotted wood in contact with damp soil.
