Bayucca- Thank you so much for the ID help. Mandy- Thanks! You should get a Macro attachment for your iPhone! (I'm addicted) They've been all over the place lately. This is the first time I've seen the blue version. Normally they are the orange ones. Aren't you nearby in GA?

I agree. I found one this week too. I think that's the correct common name too. (or just "Forest Tent Caterpillar")

Lasiocampidae, Tent Caterpillars. You might have to check the correct common/english name.
