Size: It seemed to be as big as my hand. I'd say 5-6 inches; Around 7 inches with all legs extended.
I am very sorry for the poor quality- had to snap a quick picture almost in the dark. Will try to catch a better image if I see it again- even though I have never seen this insect in my region before.
