Dragon Dendrobium

Dendrobium draconis

Description:

A wideranging, small to medium sized, epiphytic orchid

Habitat:

Assam India, Myanamr, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam at elevations of 700 to 2000 meters

Notes:

I spotted this orchid in Nam Nao National Park. I saw many in the park and was very happy to see this one because it was growing near the base of a pine tree and thus very easy to photograph. I'm always excited to see any orchids in the wild, even if this species is referred to as the most common Dendrobium in the world.
