Tremella fuciformis
These were all over the trail. These fungi are whitish, semi-transparent, and very ruffly. Some were just one or two "ruffles" (see photos 3-6) and others were dense like the one in the first two photos. This species is a parasite of Hypoxylon fungi (another species of fungi which are found on dead branches of hardwoods).
Fallen logs and even some were on the bases of standing trees in a flooded trail. Newnans Lake Conservation Area
