deep purple flower; five petals per flower with two other, smaller petals folded up together in the middle; yellow spots on some of the flowers (pollen, I think); white and light purple spots in the middle; leaves are thin and narrow and are bunched up to look like a prickly sphere; stem is of medium thickness and very tall.
These are in a small barrel with many other plants in my backyard.
They're more purple than they look in the pictures. They didn't smell.
