Adult Coppersmith Barbet ((Megalaima haemacephala) feeding her nestling.
Found in gardens, groves and sparse woodland and mostly in the wooded areas. Habitats with trees having dead wood in South East Asia.
This was spotted in a Park Garden in Singapore. Last image is the nestling.
Wonderful pics!! I am amazed there is a cavity in such a thin tree!! The nestling is adorable!

Please can you add the scientific name (Megalaima haemacephala) in the correct box. Because we have a global user base & sometimes many different common names for the same species, the system uses the scientific name to link similar spottings - which also means this may come up in the thumbnails on other spottings & more people may take a look & favorite it.
