Pink Arhodia -♀

Arhodia lasiocamparia

Description:

A pale cream coloured moth with tinges of brown and pink, about 35 mm long. When at rest the fore wings show small brown dots bordering the submarginal area and another line of well-spaced brown spots in the post-discal area. The hind wings were a beautiful salmon pink with faint blue markings (which is apparently part of a diagonal line though the middle of the wing). The underside of the wings were pale, except for a smudged black pattern on the fore wings (not seen in photos).

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights - native trees in the area.

Notes:

My thanks to Cathy Powers for the ID Family: Geometridae Subfamily: Oenochrominae
