Stick insect

Order Phasmatodea

Description:

Although formally a stick insect, I think that this bug should be called a "branch" insect. It wider than most stick insects, and its color mimics a live branch covered with lichen. Even the green "thorns" in its head resemble fresh sprouts. Second photo is a "close-up" of its tail, the third one shows its upper thorax and head, and last photo is for size comparison.
