Lovely spot!
Please can you update the scientific name to Araneus marmoreus which will enable the system to link this spotting to others of the same species & help us collect valuable data. You are correct that this is a member of the Araneidae family, but but always aim to get to specific species level wherever we can. Thanks!

Nice spot, love how the first photo shows the pattern so well.

I had one in my front yard (the only one I have ever seen) and it scared the heck out of me. It wasn't quite as pretty as this one though, was black with gray markings, but was definitely identified as a marble orb. Scared me so bad, I had to run in and google it right away to be sure it wasn't aggressive. oh, did I mention I am scared to death of spiders, but seriously fascinated by them?
