Green, blue, black eyeliner, rufous chestnut highlighter on head...this is a colourful bird. In flight the wings are triangular...rather like the extended pectoral fins of the flying fish. That beak is a powerful waepon of doom for insects...the poor bee is thrashed (so that the sting breaks off) and then eaten.
On an electric wire outside my house. These birds are winter visitors to my city and I see and hear their joyful trilling early every morning.
These birds huddle together at night for warmth...I spotted about 5-6 of then sitting right next to each other on a branch...maybe sleeping. They were high up and it was a misty early morning...couldn't tell for sure. That stick-like structure that extends beyond their tail feathers has earned them a rather rude nick name in Bangla. Wiki[pedia says "A study suggested that green bee-eaters may be capable of interpreting the behaviour of human observers. They showed an ability to predict whether a human at a particular location would be capable of spotting the nest entrance and then behaved appropriately to avoid giving away the nest location. The ability to look at a situation from another's point of view was previously believed to be possessed only by primate."
