Mourning dove (Paloma)

Zenaida macroura

Description:

Mourning doves are very commonly seen in Uruguay, in the countryside, towns and cities, where they fly around frequently. Although their colors vary, grey, black, brown and white seem to be the predominant ones. I particularly liked the brownish, reddish color which matched the color of the sand the dove was standing on.
