Beard Lichen

Usnea sp.

Description:

A fruticose lichen that grows on trees. I'm thinking Usnea strigosa, but without any apparent apothecia or further tests hard to tell.

Notes:

Beard lichens are an indicator of good air quality as they are very susceptible to sulfur dioxide
