Chlorociboria aeruginascens
Tiny blue cups (2mm) along the side of damp eucalyptus stick. The ends of the stick also showed the same colour as a deep permeating stain.
Damp timber in tall moist eucalyptus forest.
C. aeruginosa is another species which forms almost identical fruit bodies but does not stain the wood.

Thanks Antonio. I have since found timber in the forest with the blue stain inside but no fruiting bodies and it has made me realise I was lucky to see these ones. Thins of this size sure makes me want a real camera though.

Grate spotting, so the fungi stain the wood in this case very interesting!!
