Hi Nann,

This is *probably* not an ornate box turtle, but it is hard to tell without looking at the plastron (the bottom part of the shell). Normally, ornate box turtles have radiating lines in each scute. Of course, there is variation and it's possible an ornate could actually look like this--it would just be unusual.

You have some great photos on here and a couple of plants that looked interesting but stumped me! I've asked a few folks what they might be.
