Bald Eagle

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Description:

This is a series detailing a mated pair kept at Mesker Park Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Two subjects total, male and female. It is worth noting that neither will ever be able to be released back into the wild (see notes and fourth shot).

Habitat:

Mesker Park Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Evansville, IN, USA

Notes:

I have included a shot of their "narrative" with the series. I am not sure if it falls within Project Noah guidelines, but I feel it is necessary to serve as a grim reminder of what can happen if we are not careful in our interactions with wildlife.

Thank you for posting the information that brought them to this center. It is great when birds and animals can be rescued and then serve to educate the public.

It is sad what had happened to these birds.
