Colaptes auratus
Spotted just now in my backward: a female yellow shafted northern flicker. The head is grey, the face orange (it miss the black mustache of the male), the back is brown, barred with black stripes. The underparts are white, spotted with black. The rump is white. The primaries are lined with bright yellow
Suburban area (my backyard).
