Macropus giganteus
Eastern Grey Kangaroo footprint. Also the female with young (Joey).
When the kangaroo is hopping, it uses only its toes. When walking slowly, it uses its front paws and all of its hind feet. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/721...

It's really unusual, normally you just see the two slash-type things from where they've been hopping. Nice spot.
When I listed this pic, I had to check too, even though I know, and have seen them many times, I still expect to see a long foot print such as the one they make when resting.

Amazing!!! I had to look this up, I had no idea kangaroo feet were like that!!! I thought for sure this look avian like ostrich or "down under" I guess emu or cassowary (though unlike ostriches these 2 are 3 toed). I always imagined kangaroos although had the long jumping "feet" that the ends were like a dog's paw. Thank you learn something new everyday.
Great one! Thank you for sharing!
