Swarming around a pile of horse dung. Images are blurry bc they were beating their wings rapidly.

Habitat:

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in TN near Pigeon Forge

Notes:

Location is approximate. Spotted in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in TN. Location suggests P. appalachiensis (Appalachian Tiger Swallowtail, recently recognized as a distinct species), but they don't appear different from P. glaucus (Eastern Tiger Swallowtail).
