Description:

This is the largest lizard in the world (3m) and the heaviest lizard too. They kill prey by wounding them with their bite and infecting the wound with bacteria and following them until they are weakened or die.

Habitat:

Komodo Island, Indonesia. Discovered recently (1910). This was spotted in the Sydney (Taronga) Zoo.
