hopper

Description:

An amazing, tiny hopper -- perhaps a nymph -- carrying a bow of camouflage on its back.

Habitat:

Spotted on a peacock flower tree (Caesalpinia pulcherrima) in a large semi-urban yard & garden situated next to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.

Notes:

Another of these tiny enigmatic camouflaged hopper (nymphs?). I have seen several in this area and some are probably different species: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/782... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/789... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/789... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/705...
