Great Egret

Ardea alba

Description:

This is a large white bird with a yellow beak and eyes. During mating season long feathers extend from it's back past the tail. The Great Egret feeds on fish, crayfish, snakes, frogs and insects.

Habitat:

The Great Egret lives in warm and tropical areas all over the world.

Notes:

The Great Egret is endangered due to loss of habitat.
