Arctotis acaulis

Description:

Large (70-100 mm in diameter), solitary, daisies with dark centers and bright yellow, orange, salmon pink or cream rays. The leaves are roughly hairy above and grey-felted underneath.

Habitat:

Spotted on the sand dunes of Cape Agulhas, the true southernmost point of Africa.

Notes:

Also called Gousblom in Afrikaans.
