Petroselinum crispum var. neapolitanum

Description:

Biennial with deeply cut, serrated leaves. Generally treated as an annual.

Habitat:

Tolerates a fairly wide range of growing conditions including full sun or partial shade. Prefers moderately rich and moist but well-drained soil. Flat leaved tolerates dryness better and is more winter hardy.

Widely used for flavoring or garnish. Rich in vitamins, iron, and calcium. Also makes an appetite-stimulating tea, and has medicinal uses. Dried parsley makes a green dye.
