8-petaled Pink Rain Lily

Zephyranthes rosea

Description:

Rain lilies, at most times, have 6 petals. This morning in the backyard, I saw one newly-bloomed pink rain lily in an unusual form. It has 8 petals! This is the first time I'm aware of such occurrence. Also noted that some of its petals are not in perfect form.

I wonder if we are going to get enough rain to bring on our
Rain Lilies this year. This is very pretty!
