Description:

Brilliant red body, with four incredibly thin wings, that are only about 2 centimeter's wide. the body has a black and red head, with a small body, and an long tail.

Habitat:

wetland area , in grasses and sticks. near a pond with in it grasses. about 80 degrees, and lots of sun.

A little blurry, and dragonflies are a little challenging to Id because many are very similar. I think, however, this is a Needham's Skimmer (Libellula needhami). Most are golden but some get very red. Look through the photos on this page:
