Spanish Moss

Tillandsia usneoides

Description:

It is gray and has a smooth texture more or less. It has strands and each strand is about 5 inches or so. It did not have a lot of sunlight but I think it would vary due to the fact it was shaded by trees. There were many other plants and animals nearby.

Habitat:

They grow on large trees. It was about 80 degrees Fahrenheit when we saw it. The nearest water source was about 20-100 feet. There were many more of them on the ground and on trees nearby.
