Black Swallowtail

Papilio polyxenes asterias

Description:

They have a wingspan of 8 to 11 cm. This is a female black swallowtail, so near the edge of the wings it has yellow spots. The hindwing of the female has a light blue band.

Habitat:

They are found through out North America. In this case, found in Tampa, FL in about 80 degree weather.

Hi Ablock, you have a beautiful female black swallowtail butterfly here. You can now update the common name & google to scientific name so you can complete this too.
