Hi Coleen, pls add this lovely spotting and all your dragonfly/damselfly spotting to our Philippine Odonata mission - http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/1701.... Thanks again!! :)This is N. ramburii, Notice that its hindwing's red area is curved near the tip. N. terminata or Straight-edged Red Parasol, would have its hindwing's red area straight (as its name suggests :) )..
I agree coleen, they just fly off so fast when they see something or someone heading their way.
Thanks Little Rex. Hard to get a picture of it, they tend to flew if they feel someone is coming close to them.
Really nice shot. And great spotting! Never knew we had those dragonflies in the Philippines.
Thanks OnengDyah and Sachin Zaveri.
