Unknown Vine

Description:

Leaves approx 3 inches in length, and few of them. Entire vine about 6 ft from ground up.There are dozens of different species of vines in the cypress slough, all with totally different leaf shapes.

Habitat:

wetland/woodland

Notes:

New leaf to me, or so I think. I've noticed new leaf growth and old leaf growth on a same vine can be radically different. Making their identification difficult.

I believe this is bindweed. It has been blooming here in South Louisiana. The flower looks like a white morning glory. Did you see any flowers?
