Spotting

Description:

Unknown slender Buckwheat bush about 30cm tall. The stems are red and slender with tiny clusters of white flowers that droop downward. The plant overall has a lacy look. The leaves at the base of the plants were dried and shriveled as seen in the last image.

Habitat:

Chaparral about 1200 ft in elevation in an area about 200 sq ft with a couple dozen of these plants. Nearby plants are non-native mustard, California Buckwheat, Desert Broom and Dove Weed.
