Brown Shrike

Description:

A small predator that has flown all the way from Siberia to escape winter, will be flying home soon.

Habitat:

Found in low lying shrubs & low open perches when hunting.

Notes:

This bird is only seen from November onwards each year, until it flies home in March/April. This is the last one in my neighbourhood.

Thank you! I missed it several times before, when I made eye contact, it fled. This time, I squinted & shot from my car instead. It turned & looked but since I made my eyes very small, it didn't fly away!!! Shot it with Nikon P510, 42x zoom!
