Northern Two-lined Salamander

Eurycea bislineata

Description:

Small yellow-tan salamander with 2 dark stripes running along the back. The space between the lines may have dark spots or speckles. Unlike the Southern two-lined (E. cirrigera), their lines break up around the base of the tail while the Southern's continue along the length of the tail. The Blue Ridge two-lined (E. wilderae) has a more pronounced yellow-orange coloration.
