Description:

Lichen foliose, the thallus is green when wet, drying grey or grey-brown. The margins are sorediate, lobe surfaces pruinose, at least at the tips. It has black bottle-brush-like rhizines on the undersides and the medulla is yellowish. The apothecia are rare.

Habitat:

Widespread, usually on nutrient-rich bark, rarely on walls. This one was spotted on a Holm oak bark
