Thanks Sebastien...someone told me the Blue-crowned Parakeets were on the other side. I took this photo through a car window over the lap of a person next to me.

I think it's a fake foam like substance with a coating to stiffen it...there were 6-7 holes in the columns.

I have to assume the hole is in wood, but it really looks like stone/cement. Is it some kind of glued chip board? I can't imagine even a woodpecker getting through that, much less a parakeet!
