I think so, as far as I can tell they grow all over BC
All the wildfires in central and eastern Oregon apparently help the morel crop there. Maybe the lack of wildfires = lack of morels. I've never found them on the Oregon coast, either. Are they found on the west coast of Vancouver Island?
I've lived in saanich my whole life, and I'd never seen one until a few days ago... Apparently they grow after there's been a fire. And last year we started a fire pit in our back yard, and now their popping up everywhere around the pit! So have a few campfires and you might grow some :)
Awesome! My mom lives in Saanich and I will now be sure and hunt for morels when I'm there.
