Zenodorus orbiculatus (Pystira orbiculata)
This tiny hunting spider was sitting on our back fence about a metre away from another Salticid Ant Eater spider (possibly the same one documented in this spotting the previous day: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/102...). The markings/colourings are slightly different but I think this one is also a Salticid Ant Eater - differences possibly due to age or male/female.

Leanne - Thank you very much! And definitely give it a go. Christiane - Yes I think so too. See my comment on your spotting! : )
Great shot.. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/860... this looks like yours!
Ah ok. Well I'll give it a go & see what happens. I really love these shots :)
Go for it Leanne, it's worth a go! (But my Mum tried it and she hated it, she had to go back to the normal lens!)
Shanna, these are fantastic shots & what a cool little spider! I'm taking a lesson from you then & using my longer lenses for these little critters if they come out this great!
Thanks Karen! I don't actually have a macro lens so I shoot the small creatures using a long lens. I'm saving up for 'proper' macro!
Nice macro work Shanna!
