Brugmansia are woody trees or bushes with pendulous flowers that have no spines on their fruit. It's very closely related to genus Datura species which is herbaceous bushes with erect (not pendulous) flowers and most have spines on their fruit . Is a large, pendulous, trumpet-shaped flowers .They come in shades of white, yellow, pink, orange, green, or red. Most have a strong, pleasing fragrance however all parts of the plant are poisonous with the seeds and leaves being especially dangerous . In modern medicine, important alkaloids such as scopolomine, hyoscyamine, and atropine found in this plant have proven medical value for their spasmolytic, anti-asthmatic, anticholinergic, narcotic and anesthetic properties, although many of these alkaloids or their equivalents are now artificially synthesized.
