Description:

Indian Gaur is the largest and most powerful of all wild cattle species ,yet is another threatened bovine species in India after the Asiatic buffalo . The most common predator that is strong enough to attack Indian Gaur is the Tiger . However occasionally you may also come across a friendly one enabling you to take a portrait shots as seen here ... Conservation status -Bos gaurus is listed in CITES Appendix I, and is legally protected in all range states.
