Glassy Winged Sharp Shooter

Homalodisca vitripennis

Description:

Very shy insect - looks cicada-like in the face. Mottled white underbelly with yellow tipped thorax. yellow eyes. Dark shell over translucent wings.

Habitat:

Spotted on a native weed/grass in west central ga. Multiple insects of the same species were sharing this leafy/area.

Notes:

I thought I had one of these in my database, they are very shy and will move to the other end of the stem or leaf to avoid contact. Very quick movements **Thank you for the ID
