Spotting

Description:

Possibly Parmotrema sp. or Physia sp.? The lichen was perfectly growing on the needles and curled around the edges. The underside was black.

Habitat:

Growing on conifer needles, which was growing in a meadow. Hemlock, I think.

Thanks Sarah and DrNamgyalT.Sherpa for your comments! I thought this lichen was pretty cool, and had no idea that they could/would grow on conifer needles before spotting these!
