Description:

This is apparently an unusual color morph for this species, as well as being a range extension.

Habitat:

Riverine bushland near Lake Eyasi, TZ

Notes:

Yes, it looks different from yours but it was closest of the three species I found from Tanzania. Always better to ask an expert!

Thanks Scott - I'm not sure about jacksoni, because that specimen's head pattern looks different and its body lacks the strong reticulation that my snake has. I'm trying to get ideas from a Tanzanian expert i know.

The closest in range, visual match for the genus Aparallactus that I can find is Aparallactus jacksonii http://www.zmuc.dk/verweb/tanzanian_vert... But I am not certain.
