I did not want to try and flip it. But if it was a black widow it was my first encounter ever!!! That makes me happy!

It's most likely either a False Black Widow - Steatoda grossa or a Western Black Widow - Latrodectus hesperus. The easiest way to tell the difference is to look for the red hourglass on the underside.
