Ground Woodpecker

Description:

Endemic to South Africa. Large woodpecker with olive-grey back and pink breast and rump. Belly and vent are light grey; head is dark grey. Wings and tail are cream barred.

Habitat:

Karoo dry scrub area.

Notes:

I know: not the best picture I ever uploaded... but I do it for the sake of the wildlife inventory.
