I spotted this in Ba Be Lakes National Park. It the first park I visited during my second trip to Vietnam and this was the first spotting I got. I've seen a lot of strange things in my travels but this was one of the strangest.

Thanks Clement. Do you have any links where I can read about it? I'm not having any luck searching for it.
this is created by an insect called a silkspinner, somewhat shaped like a stick insect, they create the silk from glands in their forearms.
