Description:

This is larger and darker in appearance than the common Gray Hairstreak. Notice the white on black dashes, and the larger orange and blue spots on the ends of hind wings. Tails are also longer.

Notes:

The second photo has a size comparison with 2 smaller Gray Hairstreaks on the same Rough-leaved Dogwood bloom.
