Common Shining Cockroach

Drymaplaneta communis

Description:

About 2 inches long. Dark with yellow coloring along the sides.

Notes:

Is this a nymph because it doesn't seem to have fully developed wings? The colouring looks similar to the Common Methana - Methana marginalis nymph; http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_...

This bush cockroach occurs only in Queensland, according to this CSIRO. http://www.ces.csiro.au/aicn/system/c_47... I believe yours is a Common shining cockroach - Drymaplaneta communis. It is already an adult and always wingless
