Description:

Male has black face, cap and throat, white "C" shaped patch from the neck to the supercilium, grey nape, chestnut mantle and wings, whitish underparts. Female has grey face, cap and throat; underparts and upperparts like the male.

Habitat:

Namib desert: sand dunes and arid valleys.
