Description:

Tiers of orange fan-shaped fruiting bodies which were sometimes fused and surrounded by a bed of fuzzy white mycelium.The underside showed flat teeth of varying lengths,longer in the centres and smaller towards the margins.

Habitat:

Growing on a wet moss covered tree stump in a temperate rainforest.

Notes:

This is a white rot fungus which grows on dead wood. This species occurs in Southern Russia, countries of Asia,New Zealand, Australia and Argentina.
