Aquilegia vulgaris
Also known as European columbine, Common columbine or Granny's nightcap, this flowering plant from Ranunculaceae family grows up to 75cm or 100cm. It shows dark blue flowers , resembling a sleeping bonnet, which explains the name.
Observed next to forest path, bordering gardens.
The plant is a member of the poisonous Ranunculus family and all parts of the plant, including the seeds, are poisonous if ingested.
